Swiss Conference of Cantonal Chancellors
SSK . CCE . CCSThe Swiss Conference of Cantonal Chancellors brings together the Chancellors of Switzerland’s 26 Cantonal Governments, the Federal Chancellor and Federal Vice Chancellors, and the head of the Office of the Government Chancellery of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
The CCE–SSK is a policy coordination body which aims to foster intercantonal collaboration, create synergies between the Swiss Confederation and the Cantons on matters that fall within the remit of the Cantonal Chancelleries, and facilitate reciprocal information-sharing.
As the chief of staff to the Cantonal Government, the Cantonal Chancellor is responsible for ensuring that the executive branch benefits from a constructive and well-functioning work environment. The Cantonal Chancellor also organises Cantonal Government meetings and is fully briefed on all matters handled by the executive branch.

Topics
Several common themes run across the various Cantonal Chancelleries. While their areas of responsibility differ somewhat, they come together on key issues and major projects supported by the CCE-SSK. Regional differences are understandable, but at their core, all Cantonal Chancelleries share the same main responsibilities: the running of the Cantonal Government secretariat, external relations, the organisation of votes and elections, and the management of the state archives.
